Book artists for your college fest

15 artists

College fests are the most demanding crowds an artist plays to and the least forgiving. The audience is large, young, tightly packed and entirely unwilling to pretend they are enjoying something they are not. The artists on this page have played that room. We also understand the practical side - student committees work to approved budgets, decisions go through faculty, and timelines are rarely as flexible as anyone would like. We work with that rather than against it.

How to choose an artist for a college fest

Energy matters more than anything else. A technically excellent performer who cannot lift a crowd of two thousand students will not work here, whatever their credentials. Look for footage from actual fests rather than weddings or corporate shows, because it is the clearest signal of whether someone can handle the format. Think about your headline slot separately from your support acts - the headliner sets ticket interest and social reach, while support acts carry the earlier hours when the ground is still filling. Be realistic about your sound setup: a large open ground needs proper production, and booking an artist your PA cannot support helps nobody. Finally, get faculty approval on content early, particularly for comedians, so nothing is renegotiated the week of the fest.

What works at a college fest

DJs are the reliable backbone of most fests, particularly for the closing night, and a DJ who can move between Bollywood, Punjabi, hip-hop and EDM will hold a mixed student crowd better than a specialist. Live bands work well as a headline draw and give the fest a bigger sense of occasion. Stand-up comedians have become one of the strongest formats for daytime and indoor auditorium slots, where a DJ would not suit. Dance crews are effective as openers and build energy before a headline act. Anchors are underrated at fests - a good one keeps a long day moving and covers the inevitable gaps between acts.

Budget guidance

Fest budgets are usually fixed and approved in advance, so the honest approach is to tell us the number early. Emerging artists and local DJs are accessible for most committees. Established names and touring acts sit considerably higher, and the well-known ones book out well before fest season. If your budget is tight, there are two things that help: booking earlier, and being flexible on the day of the week. We would rather find you a strong artist inside your budget than push you towards something you cannot approve.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work with student committee budgets?

Yes, and we would rather know the figure at the start. Tell us your approved budget and we will show you artists who genuinely fit it instead of options you will have to rule out.

How early should we book for fest season?

For a headline act, three to four months. Fest season is concentrated and the strongest artists are booked well ahead. Support acts and DJs can usually be arranged with less notice.

Can artists perform for large open-ground audiences?

Yes, but the sound setup has to match. Tell us your expected audience size and venue type and we will recommend artists suited to that scale, and flag production requirements early.

Are comedians suitable for a college audience?

Very β€” comedy is one of the strongest fest formats. Share any content guidelines your institution requires and we will match you with comedians who work comfortably within them.

Can we book multiple artists for a multi-day fest?

Yes. We can put together a full line-up across days and stages, which is usually simpler to coordinate and more economical than booking each act separately.

What documentation do you provide?

Written confirmation of the booking, scope and timing, plus invoicing suitable for institutional approval processes.
